A partnership, not a transaction
Every project is the translation of your needs and wants into a plan of action.
Building a second home in France can be overwhelming.
From the financial, tax and legal structuring of the ownership, to local regulations, different or availability of materials, to cultural, linguistic and societal differences.
This is how we work…
1/ Conversation
Every project starts with a conversation.
An open discussion about how you want to live, what draws you to France, and what this home should give you over time.
At this stage, we listen more than we speak.
2/ Direction
We define a clear direction, that translates mood boards into a plan.
This includes understanding the site, the existing structure, local constraints and regulations, and realistic budgets and timelines.
3/ Design
Design develops in response to place, material, and use.
We work with what exists, refining layouts, proportions, and details to create spaces that feel natural rather than imposed.
We work with architects and structural engineers that we know and trust.
4/ Build
We work hands-on with people and craftsmen that not just understand their trade but also our vision and culture.
We don’t outsource unless there is no alternative. No social dumping.
4b/ Landscaping
Terraces, gardens, and outdoor spaces are shaped to extend the house into its surroundings.
Continuity between inside and outside.
5/ Finishings
The final stage is about adjustment and balance.
Small decisions — light, finishes, transitions — are resolved.
But also art, objects, wine… This is where the house becomes a place to live, not just a completed project. A lifestyle!
6/ Living with the House
Our relationship doesn’t end on delivery. After 12 months there is a discussion on what works and what can be improved.
Homes evolve, and we are available as the house is lived in, adjusted, and understood over time.
7/ Maintenance & Improvements (optional)
We offer ongoing involvement.
This can include periodic check-ins, maintenance coordination and execution, and advice as the house ages and settles.
